No, I was not prepared enough because my shoes did not have enough grip on them.
The walk was really hard for me because I haven't walked that far before.
My favourite part on the walk was walking with the parents, room 1 and room 2 also with Whaea Raina and Mr Fawcett.
I think that Maddison was helpful because he didn't leave me.

Gorge Walk reflections
I was prepared for the Gorge Walk because I had comfortable shoes, and enough food and water to last the day.
I thought the walk was a bit easy because I'm able to walk long distances but, I did get a little tired and my thighs did hurt walking up hill.
My favourite thing about the walk was the experience because I had never done then Gorge Walk before, it was such a phenomenal day!
I think Lance was helpful because he waited for me and he didn't walk away when we thought we were lost.

The Gorge Walk
I was prepared because I had the right shoes and the right gear.
The walk was average because it hurt my legs when we had to go up hill but it was easy going down hill.
My favourite part was looking at the views from the windmill lookout. I think Shya was helpful because she gave me her scroggin.

Gorge Walk Reflections - What did you think?
1) Was I prepared enough? If not, what do I need to do to be prepared for the Tongariro Crossing?
2) Was the walk as easy/hard as I expected?
3) What was your favourite part of the walk?

3) What was your favourite part of the walk?
The Gorge Walk
I was prepared enough for the walk because I had the right gear e.g shoes, clothing and food.
The walk was harder then I expected because the track kept going up hill and down hill.
My favourite part of the walk was when we were on the lookout and seeing the amazing view.
I think Kiarn was helpful to me because he kept encouraging me to keep going.

YOSS group by Koare
Kiarn and I went to YOSS Youth One Stop Shop on Monday the 2nd September 2013. We were learning about hygiene. We had to cut our nails and clean them. We had to show them to our leader. Only Kiarn and I got a perfect mark, everyone else got a satisfactory. We got lots of thing in our hygiene pack. Here is a picture of 2 things - hand sanitiser and nail clippers.
